Eligibility Details
A. For Paper I (Teaching Classes 1–5)
You must have any ONE of the following:
- 12th with 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed. (passed or pursuing)
- 12th with 45% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed. (NCTE 2002 norms)
- 12th with 50% marks + 2-year D.Ed. (Special Education)
- Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed.
B. For Paper II (Teaching Classes 6–8)
You must have any ONE of the following:
- Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed.
- Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed. (1 or 2 years)
- Graduation with 45% marks + B.Ed. (NCTE norms)
- 12th with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed.
- 12th with 50% marks + 4-year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed. (Special Education)
Relaxation in Educational Marks
- 5% relaxation in minimum qualification for: SC, ST, OBC (NCL) & PwD
Validity of Courses
- Regular teacher training courses must be recognized by NCTE.
- Special Education courses must be recognized by RCI.
- Candidates with Special Education degrees must complete a 6-month NCTE bridge course after appointment.
