Eligibility Details
1. Educational Qualification
- Must have an MBBS degree recognized or permitted by:
- Medical Council of India (MCI), or
- National Medical Commission (NMC)
2. Domicile / Residency Rule
- Candidates not belonging to Bihar will be treated as Unreserved (UR) candidates.
- Candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar will get reservation benefits.
Selection Procedure
1. Merit List (Total: 100 Marks)
The merit list will be prepared using the following criteria:
(A) MBBS Marks – Maximum 80 Marks
- 0.8 marks will be given for each 1% of total MBBS aggregate marks.
- For candidates who completed MBBS from foreign medical colleges:
- FMGE marks × 0.6 will be considered.
(B) Higher Qualification – Maximum 20 Marks
- PG Diploma → 10 marks
- PG Degree → 20 marks
- (Only the highest qualification will be considered)
2. Tie-Breaking Rules
If two or more candidates get the same total marks, ranking will be decided in this order:
- Higher marks in PG Degree / PG Diploma
- Higher marks in MBBS Part-III
- Older candidate (by age)
3. Counseling & Document Verification
- Candidates shortlisted in the merit list must appear for counseling/document verification.
- All original certificates must be produced.
- Final selection is subject to successful verification.
