Eligibility Details

| Technician Grade I Signal | Candidates need a recognized B.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology or Instrumentation; a B.Sc. combining the prescribed subjects; or a three-year Engineering Diploma / Engineering Degree in a notified discipline. |
| Technician Grade III | Candidates need Class 10 with NCVT/SCVT ITI in the relevant trade, or Class 10 with Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the relevant trade. For Technician Grade III S&T, Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics is also accepted. |
- The required qualification had to be completed by 29 July 2026.
- Candidates awaiting their final examination result were not eligible.
- A Diploma or Degree cannot be used in place of ITI/CCAA unless the notification specifically permits it.
- The accepted trade differs by post; applicants should check Annexure A of the detailed notification.

CBT rules: The paper carries 100 questions for 100 marks and lasts 90 minutes. One-third mark is deducted for every wrong answer. Scores may be normalized across shifts. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL, 30% for SC and 25% for ST.
