Normalization Rule

When the exam runs in one single shift, the raw marks scored by candidates are directly used. If applicant numbers are high enough to require multiple shifts, scores get normalized as per Government Order No. 6/2024/148/General/47/Ka-4-2024 and the Commission’s guidelines dated 26-02-2026, and only that normalized score is considered for the eligibility cut-off.

Exam Day Instructions

Pen To UseOnly a black ball point pen is allowed on the OMR sheet; pencils, gel/fountain/sketch pens and whitener are banned.
OMR DamageAny scratching, scraping or use of whitener/blade on the OMR sheet leads to that sheet being excluded from checking.
Scribe FacilityDivyangjan candidates must arrange their own scribe and register at the Commission office a week before the exam; they get 20 extra minutes per hour (50 minutes total).
Other-State CandidatesReserved category candidates who are not UP residents lose reservation and fee-concession benefits and are treated as General category.
